Changing the Font Colour

You can either select the Format | Colour... menu item to change the font colour of the selected text, or you can use the toolbar button. If you use the menu item, then you will be presented with a standard colour selection box. Select the colour you want to use and click on OK. The selected text will be placed in this colour. If you use the toolbar button, click on the down arrow part of it. You will be shown a box containing the 16 standard colours and another button labeled More Colors... If you select one of the standard colours, the text will be placed in this colour and the box will disappear. If you select More Colors..., then the colour selection box will pop up and you can select any of the 16+ million colours. When you have selected a colour, click on OK to apply it.

When you have selected a colour using any of these methods, then the toolbar button will change to show this colour. If you want to apply this colour again to another section of text, you can just click on the main part of this button.
